The world population growth, coupled with technological advances achieved in recent years, generates high environmental contamination, both as associated with the greenhouse gas emission, as the high waste production without an appropriate place for its final disposal. Among the agricultural wastes, it can highlight the high amount of rice husk ash that is produced by the rice industry. One solution to avoid these problems is the reuse of rice husk ash in other sectors, such as building construction. This paper presents a brief review of the research that has being carried out in terms of reuse of rice husk ash in construction, more specifically, in concrete and mortar preparation.Downloads
