Abstract

The main objective of this research was the development and proposal of strategies which could contribute to the sustainable management of the existing resources in a watershed under high anthropic pressure. Several methods were applied. The erosional aspects of soils were analysed using the USLE-MUSLE equations; the distribution of water quality for N and P was studied through the Trend Surface Analysis; the SWAT model was used in the hydrologic model. The study showed an unstable equilibrium in the area, mainly due to the increase of sugar-cane cultivation in non-suitable areas, specially in terms of relief and soils.
